August Open House Invitation Postcard

Following the intention of the VCEA, we utilized several communication avenues to ensure all impacted residents received communications, with a goal of ensuring all had an opportunity to participate in the regulatory process. CVOW utilized direct mail communications to reach specific audiences, largely focusing on landowners in the project area.

Full-color, double-sided postcards were sent to approximately 11,000 landowners within the areas of the proposed routes in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake to encourage attendance at in-person and virtual community meetings. Mailers were sent in early August for the August 17–19 events at a cost of $7,912.32 and were utilized in tandem with digital and newspaper campaigns. Approximately 130 people were in attendance at these events.
